Birmingham Startup Pelli Launches the Live Music App That Covers the Shows Other Apps Never Will

Starting at home, the new mobile platform brings ticketed concerts and unticketed local gigs into one place, city by city

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., May 1, 2026 — Live music fans today have to search across multiple platforms, groups, and pages and hope they find the artists and music they love. Even after all that effort, they still miss what is happening three blocks away.

Pelli is built to change that. The Birmingham-based mobile app, now live on Google Play and iOS, launches first in the city it calls home. Birmingham fans open the app and find two things in one place: every ticketed concert from Ticketmaster, AXS, SeatGeek, and other major platforms, and a curated feed of unticketed local shows that do not appear anywhere else. Direct links connect fans to ticket sellers for shows that have them, and every listing includes directions to the venue.

For fans in other cities, Pelli brings every upcoming ticketed concert into one place without bouncing between apps. Heading to Denver, Austin, or Miami next month? Search Pelli to see who is playing, buy tickets, and get directions. The unticketed local layer, which is what sets Pelli apart from every other music discovery app, expands into new markets as the platform grows.

When fans check in at a show, Pelli unlocks exclusive perks: artist meet-and-greets, after-party invitations, ad-free experiences, and venue rewards, turning a night out into something more.

Artists and venues reach something no social media platform can offer: an audience that opened the app specifically to find live music. When artists post to Facebook or Instagram, they reach people who may or may not be looking for a show. When they post to Pelli, they reach people who are. Artists and venues anywhere can add their shows directly to the app, putting their events in front of fans who are actively looking. A built-in analytics dashboard tracks likes, follows, saves, shares, and check-in attendance. Subscription accounts unlock advanced analytics showing new fans versus returning fans, giving artists and venues a clear picture of audience growth against an existing base. Subscribers also get Pelli Spotlight, which puts their upcoming events on the app's landing page for fans in their area in the week leading up to the show.

“Local live music is invisible online. The artists are incredible, the venues are packed with talent, and the fans have no idea any of it is happening two blocks away. We built Pelli to close that gap, for every show, every city, every night.”

Rich Melville, Co-Founder, Pelli

Pelli currently indexes more than 72,000 ticketed live music events across the United States and Europe, covering more than 46,000 artists and nearly 15,000 venues.

Home in Birmingham

Pelli is launching in a city with a music history that runs across nearly every genre. Emmylou Harris, Eddie Kendricks of the Temptations, and Sun Ra all came out of Birmingham. So did St. Paul and the Broken Bones, and dozens of artists who still fill stages across the city every week. Nearly 400 local artists are already in the app, and about 200 Birmingham-area shows are added each week.
