Pelli Featured on FOX6 Birmingham: Local App Brings Full Live Music Discovery to Alabama's Largest City
Startup tackles the gap between ticketed concerts and the bar shows, open mics, and venue nights that make up most of Birmingham's live music scene
BIRMINGHAM, AL — May 18, 2026 — Pelli, a Birmingham-based live music discovery platform, was featured on FOX6 Birmingham this morning in a segment by Jeh Jeh Pruitt. The coverage introduced Birmingham audiences to the app's mission: to surface every live music show in the city, including the unticketed bar nights, neighborhood venue sets, and open mics that never appear on Spotify, Ticketmaster, or any major platform.
Pelli connects fans, artists, and venues through a three-sided mobile platform available free on iOS and Android. Fans use it to find what is playing tonight near them. Artists use it to promote shows and access verified check-in data that functions as a third-party attendance credential for venue booking conversations. Venues can use it to see who is coming through their doors and whether those attendees are first-time visitors or regulars.
“Most of Birmingham's live music is invisible online. If a band is playing a bar on a Thursday night, that show is probably not on Instagram unless you already follow the right people. We built Pelli so that show is visible to anyone who opens the app and asks what is happening tonight.”
Pelli launched in Birmingham in May 2026 and has hosted activations at Elysian Gardens and Avondale Brewing Company. The app currently lists upcoming shows across Birmingham through a combination of direct venue partnerships and data from Jambase, which aggregates from more than 30 ticketing platforms including Ticketmaster and Live Nation.
